Great, Long Cables for Cheap,

As expected from a product with so many positive reviews, these cables deliver. Primarily, I bought these cables to connect my MacBook to my tv (with an intermediary mini-DVI to DVI adapter), while keeping the computer on my coffee table and away from the tv. I guess it depends on the computer, but because it's a newer MacBook, the picture quality looks great, even on cables that some would consider "cheap". Would definitely buy these cables again over more expensive options.
Side note for the unexperienced: these cables do not transmit sound.

Many Windows based notebooks are now equipped with VGA & HDMI ports, but no DVI port. Many external monitors are equipped with VGA & DVI ports, but no HDMI port. While the analog VGA connection works, a digital connection works better. As it happens DVI is simply a subset of the HDMI standard.
This cable works great for making digital connections from a notebook with a HDMI port to an external monitor with a DVI port.

Good quality product.
I purchased this cable to hook my computer to a 40'' LCD and Wow does it make everything look smooth with 1080p, didn't even need AA over 2x.
